Something we love doing at home is wear Punjabi - whether that's a T-Shirt with Punjabi letters or a bag with a Punjabi or Sikhi theme.
I find that wearing Punjabi gives a closeness to the language that my kids really connect with. My boys will ask "ithe ki likeya" (what's written here) which opens a conversation around the letters, the signs, different sounds and meanings of words.
We also have clothing with the Punjab map on it. This gets up talking about cities that are important to us - like Ludhiana where Dada and DadiJi live, or Chamkaur Sahib where the Wade Sahibzadey are or Amritsar is where Guru Ram Das Ji is.
There are so many learning opportunities by wearing Punjabi and Punjab related clothing.
