As promised, I want to start sharing my journey from living in the UK to Punjab.
It has been such an amazing journey - the kids and I have have loved every single moment, and honestly, we don't want to return to the UK either!
What has been our favourite part?
Honestly - Love
Punjab has a very homely feel. Not only has immediate family opened their arms and given us love, the whole community has.
Do you remember growing up in the UK and being able to ride your bike on the street?
Or maybe knocking on your neighbours door and asking your friend to come and play?
I remember this alot. I remember parents being busy and the neighbours taking in turns to look after us kids on the street!
I remember playing football and the neighbours saying hi to us, knowing our names, and watching out for us too.
That is exactly what my kids now have in Punjab.
When they say a community raises a child - I understand that now.
The love my boys have got from the neighbours, I have no words to describe this.
They allow my boys to explore, make mistakes, have fun, be crazy and just be themselves.
At the same time, they come and help when they fall over, they say hi/Sat Sri Akaal to them everyday, even teach them some Hindi!
Honestly, the best bit so far has been the love we have recieved from all.
Next week, I'll share more about our journey. If you have any questions, please do drop me a message back.
